Dundee 22-year-old Hutchison, who got his motor racing year underway successfully in the Middle East last month with a seventh place finish in the annual Hankook Dubai 24H, will be joined by Alex Aka and Florian Scholze as the trio mount a strong challenge in the GT class.
Both German team-mates were part of the five driver line-up, along with Hutchison, in the Dubai 24H and the Scotsman and Aka also previously teamed together in 2020 at Attempto when racing in GT World Challenge Europe.
With great continuity, and excellent experience with Audi, Hutchison, Aka and Scholze will be aiming to utilise that to their advantage as they take on some of the most competitive drivers and teams in global endurance racing.
Hutchison, of course, was also one of the first drivers in the world to race the latest EVO II version of the Audi R8 last October during the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup finale in Barcelona, Spain – teaming then with Audi Sport ‘Pro’ drivers Markus Winkelhock and Dennis Lind,
Two practice sessions take place in Dubai today, Friday, 11th February, ahead of qualifying on Saturday, 12th February, and the opening race of the ALMS season which gets underway at 16.30 local time. Round two, on Sunday, 13th February, will begin one-hour later.
“It’s going to be a mega weekend, I can’t wait to be back on track in Dubai”, said Hutchison, “I’m really looking forward to racing in the ALMS for the first time, we’ve got a busy couple of weekends coming up – looking after the car and staying out of trouble is going to be absolutely vital for anyone to try and challenge for the championship, with four races packed into nine days.
“The latest Audi R8 EVO II is a great car and we’ve got some good continuity along with Alex and Florian, so we’re all feeling good for this weekend’s two races. So much can happen in a four-hour race, and with two back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday it’s going to be intriguing to see what happens and where we end up.”

Round one on Saturday will begin at 12.30 UK time, with round two on Sunday set to get underway at 13.30 UK time.
